We Built the Kitchen First...

James gloved up in our safe kitchen, washing dishes

We built an entire kitchen out of glass, stainless steel, and silicone.

We glove up to cook. We inspect every ingredient. We don't eat out. We only eat food that is certified gluten-free, dairy-free, oat-free, and organic.

We aren't meticulous because we are extreme or over the top. But because our son, Eli, deserves to eat and breathe safely. Because “just a trace” isn’t just a trace for him. Because after a single exposure, Eli is glutened, fatigued, congested, mouth breathing, exhausted, and in pain, for weeks...

He’s Only 10. And He Understands It All.

He inspects his own food. He reads every label. He washes his hands and keeps them clasped together until he picks up his fork to eat, never touching anything else until his plate is safely in the sink.

He accepts when something has to be taken away… without protest, just with quiet strength and understanding.

That’s What Breaks My Heart Most.

He never complains. He understands. He adapts. But he shouldn’t have to.

And he deserves more than to survive in isolation. He deserves to live without getting sick.

He deserves to have friends. He deserves to belong somewhere that doesn’t require him to compromise to participate. He deserves community.

The One. The Only. Eli Hudson.
The One. The Only. Eli Hudson.

So we created Evernorth, a nonprofit community for people like Eli... for individuals and families who live this way because they have to, and for those who choose to live in alignment.

If you’re out there too… we see you. We’re building this for you. You're not alone anymore. Soon, Evernorth will be tangible, and you will have a physical place to belong.

And Eli can’t wait to meet you.

We are Evernorth

This is what we live.

Great question! The biggest challenges are probably things most people don’t think twice about…

Cross contact during food prep and cooking. You’d be surprised how often you touch things other than the food and clean utensils while cooking. Food packaging and jars that sit on grocery shelves are typically plastic and all are covered in some form of paper product for label/ingredient lists. The materials they are made out of are need truly washable to remove gluten. So, if we grab a bottle of sauce we wash again after dispensing it.

The best way to cook as “normal” as possible is to have a dedicated glass, stainless steel, silicone kitchen, including all of the food storage items. When we purchase…

Congratulations on creating Evernorth. I am so impressed with the planning you have done. Eli is lucky to have someone like you in his corner. Because of Evernorth, hopefully he will live a more normal life and make lots of friends. I am sure there are other families out there struggling everyday with the same conditions. Thanks to Evernorth, they now have a chance of normalcy too. Great Job!!!

Thank you so much for your acknowledgement, kindness and encouragement. 🖤 We’ve poured every ounce of intention, research, and love into Evernorth because we believe a different kind of world is possible, one where people like Eli don’t have to choose between connection and well-being.

You’re right, there are thousands of families navigating the same invisible barriers every day. We are rare. But we are not alone in the world.

Thank you for seeing us. And for seeing Eli.

Radically Natural,

🖤 The Evernorth Team
